At the invitation of CAFIU, an 8-member delegation of the Kazankai Foundation of Japan headed by Executive Director Hoshi Hiroto visited China from June 29 to July 3, 2015. In Beijing, CAFIU Vice-President Ai Ping met with the delegation. Ai Ping stressed that China-Japan people-to-people exchanges should play a positive role in improving the bilateral relations and enhancing mutual understanding. He said that in last April he visited Japan at the invitation of the Kazankai Foundation, where he had extensive contacts with Japanese friends of all circles and got to know many moving stories about China-Japan people-to-people exchanges.
The delegation also attended the Seminar on China-Japan Cultural Exchanges and Cultural Soft Power during its stay in Beijing and visited Dongsi Olympic Community Sports and Culture Center and Shijiahutong Museum, knowing more about Chinese people’s cultural and sports life after work as well as the history and culture of Beijing. Part of the delegation members also paid a visit to Harbin City in Heilongjiang Province. In Harbin, Wang Yinchun, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Helongjiang Province met with the delegation members. They also visited Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall located at Harbin Railway Station and Heilongjiang Art Museum in the downtown.
