Li Jun Attends Seminar on Promoting China-Japan Understanding and Cooperation
 
CAFIU Advisor and Assistant Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Li Jun attended Seminar on Promoting China-Japan Understanding and Cooperation. Li Jun said in the opening session that China and Japan are neighbors and both are countries of important influence in the Asia-Pacific region and the world. Both sides should stick to the roadmap of seeking steady progress and strive to maintain the momentum of improvement in the bilateral relations and endeavor to seek for steady and healthy China-Japan relations at a higher level. Li Jun met the delegation of young members of the Japan Diet headed by Taira Masaaki, member of House of Representatives, ahead of the Seminar.  
 
The delegation and experts from Development Research Center of the State Council, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and Institute of Japanese Studies of CASS as well as China Institute of International Studies and Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of MOFCOM participated in the Seminar. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions centering on strengthening political trust and economic and trade cooperation.
 
Secretary-General Ni Jian and Deputy Secretary-General Liu Kaiyang were present at the meeting and Seminar.
