At the invitation of Japan-China Friendship Association of Junior Chamber International Japan (JCI Japan), a CAFIU working group composed of Secretary-General Ni Jian and Division Director Wang Lin visited Japan from July 18 to 22.
The working group attended the ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of exchanges between JCI Japan and China and the founding of Japan-China Friendship Association of JCI Japan held in Yokohama, Kanagawa-ken. Over 100 Japanese representatives from political and economic circles and NGOs and a 59-member youth delegation of All-China Youth Federation attended the ceremony. Secretary-General Ni Jian delivered a speech at the ceremony on behalf of CAFIU and signed with JCI Japan 2015 President Gosuke Shibata the Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting China-Japan Friendly Exchanges between the Chinese Association for International Understanding and the Junior Chamber International Japan, aiming at enhancing mutual trust and promoting China-Japan friendly relations through youth elite exchange.
In Japan, the working group also called on Yuko Obuchi, Member of the House of Representatives from the Liberal Democratic Party, Masaaki Taira,Member of the House of Representatives and State Minister of Cabinet Office, Nishida Makoto, Member of the House of Representatives from the New Komeito and Goshi Hosono, Member of the House of Representatives from the Democratic Party and had discussions with Asahina Yutaka, President of the Mainichi Newspapers, Tsuneda Teruo, Executive Director of the Mainichi Newspapers and Tadashi Ikeda, Chairman of the Kazankai Foundation.
