At the invitation of CAFIU, a 14-member neighboring NGO delegation composed of representatives from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and the Philippines visited China from July 7 to 16. In Beijing, leaders of CAFIU Secretariat held talks with the delegation. The delegation listened to briefings given by experts from the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the International Poverty Reduction Center in China respectively on China’s economic reform and poverty reduction, attended the seminar on promoting people-to-people bond of the countries along the One Belt and One Road and called on the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of the Xicheng District of Beijing. Before its visit to Beijing, the delegation had visited Sichuang Province where it had discussions with leaders from the Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, Sichuan Development and Reform Commission and Sichuan University and visited Dongfang Electric Corporation, Chengdu Planning Exhibition Hall and etc.
