On July 20, Deputy Secretary-General Zheng Yao met with H.E. Ivan Zerpa Guerrero, Venezuelan Ambassador to China and his colleagues. Ambassador Zerpa briefed on the current situation in Venezuela. The two sides discussed issues of common interest such as  China-Venezuela relations, bilateral people-to-people exchange, the South China Sea issue.
