On the afternoon of July 9, Vice President Liu Hongcai meets the delegation headed by Kaneko Tetsuo, former MP of Japan’s House of Representatives from Japan’s Social Democratic Party (SDP). The two sides looked back on the party-to-party exchanges between the CPC and the SDP. Liu Hongcai spoke positively of the SDP’s role in promoting the friendship between China and Japan. The two sides also exchanged views on people-to-people exchanges and the situation on the Korean Peninsula. Deputy Secretary-General Zheng Yao was present at the meeting.
