On the afternoon of June 30, CAFIU and the Kazankai Foundation of Japan jointly held a seminar in Beijing on China-Japan cultural exchanges and soft power. In the seminar, seven experts from both nations gave presentations, while delegates discussed the soft power of the two nations as well as the significance and measures of cultural exchanges.

 

    CAFIU Secretary-General Ni Jian and Executive Director Hoshi Hiroto of the Kazankai Foundation delivered opening remarks. CAFIU Deputy Secretary-General Liu Kaiyang gave concluding remarks. The seminar was chaired by Li Dongping, CAFIU Council Member and Chiba Norikazu, Deputy Director of Culture Department, Kazankai Foundation. More than 30 delegates attended the seminar, including the whole Kazankai delegation, attendees from NGOs of the two countries, academics and council members of CAFIU.
