CAFIU Delegation Headed by Deputy Secretary-General Liu Kaiyang Visits Bangladesh and Nepal
 
At the invitation of the Bangladesh-China People’s Friendship Association (BCPFA) and Nepal Council of World Affairs (NCWA), a four-member CAFIU delegation led by Deputy Secretary-General Liu Kaiyang visited the two countries from April 19th to 25th.
In Bangladesh, the delegation held discussions with the leadership of BCPFA, attended a round-table talk held by Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies and visited BRAC University.
In Nepal, the delegation met with and held discussions with Vice Prime Minister Bahadur, former Prime Minister Madhav Nepal, former Foreign Minister Pandey and officals of Lalitpur City. Liu Kaiyang and NCWA President Shrestha signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperative Relationship between CAFIU and NCWA. The delegation also held a round-table talk with experts of China Study Center-Nepal and visited Tribhuvan University.
Through this visit, the delegation deepened partnerships with BCPFA and NCWA, promoted the “One Belt and One Road” Initiative, and reached a preliminary consensus on how to promote bilateral friendly exchanges and cooperation with friends of the two countries.
