| Central and Eastern European NGO Delegation Visits China | |

At the invitation of CAFIU, a 15-member Central and Eastern European NGO delegation composed of representatives from NGOs, think tanks and media from Czech, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Russia visited China from April 13th to 23rd, 2015.
In Beijing, CAFIU Secretary-General Ni Jian hosted a workshop on the One Road & One Belt Initiatives, while Deputy Secretary-General Zheng Yao briefed on China’s national conditions and the Four-Pronged Comprehensive Strategy. Cui Hongjian, Director of Department for European Studies, China Institute of International Studies briefed on the One Road & One Belt Initiatives and cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe countries.
During its stay in Gansu Province, the implementation of the Western Development Strategy and plans on carrying out the One Road & One Belt Initiatives were introduced. The delegation exchanged views with Gansu Provincial NGO Network for International Exchanges, and visited modern agriculture demonstration sites and Lanzhou LS Energy Equip. Int’l Engineering Co.Ltd.
In Shanghai, the delegation visited Waigaoqiao Pilot Free Trade Zone, Jinqiao Economic & Technological Development Zone, Changning District Gubei Public Service Center, ZTE Shanghai R&D Center, and exchanged views with administrative staff and representatives of NGOs in GONGYI XINTIANDI.
