Mr. Ai Ping, CAFIU’s Vice-President, former Deputy Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Executive Vice-President and Secretary General of the China Yan’an Spirit Research Society, visited the Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University on June 18, 2021, and attended the seminar on “Stories about International Understanding”. The seminar was chaired by Mr. Pan Qingzhong, Executive Dean of the Schwarzman College and a number of faculty members from different countries. By sharing their experiences on international exchanges and communication, the participants held an in-depth discussion on how to help students with different cultural backgrounds cultivate global perspective, analysed the root causes of misunderstanding (in particular under current circumstances) and ways to clear up misunderstanding. Through heated discussion and extensive communication, the seminar concluded in a relaxed atmosphere. All the participants expressed their willingness to have more opportunities to attend such events for enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation.
