On June 24, CAFIU held a webinar on Promoting the Olympic Spirit and People’s Role in the Olympic Games with its Japanese counterparts. The webinar was chaired by Mr. Liu Hongcai, CAFIU Vice President and former Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee. Mr. Wan Xuejun, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department of the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, gave a briefing on the preparations for the Games. Representatives from both Chinese and Japanese NGOs and research institutions had an extensive discussion about the Tokyo Olympic Games and the Beijing Olympic Winter Games: Role of People-to-People Cooperation between China and Japan.
