On June 10, 2021, CAFIU and the China Silicon Valley Association of the U.S. co-hosted the webinar on Upholding the Olympic Spirit for Enhancing People-to-People Exchanges and Cooperation. Mr. Ai Ping, former Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Vice President of CAFIU presided over the webinar. Mme. Zhang Qian, Director of the International Relations Department of Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games briefed the audience on the preparation work for the events.

Representatives from China and the United States discussed the role of the Beijing Winter Olympics in promoting pragmatic people-to-people cooperation, and in further expanding and deepening such cooperation between China and the United States.
