On the 20th, 23rd and 27th of October 2020, CAFIU convened a series of webinars on China-Germany people-to-people exchanges themed on “Deepening China-Germany People-to-people Exchanges, Enhancing Mutual Understanding and Cooperation”, under which three sessions entitled “poverty alleviation and ecological civilisation”, “international cooperation on fighting against Covid-19: social organizations in action” and “Dialogue among civilisations and global governance” were held respectively. Mr. Ai Ping, Vice President of CAFIU and former Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended and addressed the first session. The German delegates included former Minister of Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Security of Germany, former member of the European Parliament (EP) and head of the EP Delegation for Relations with China, Secretary General of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. Representatives from other Chinese and Germany NGOs, think tanks and academic institutions attended the webinars.
